Your step-by-step guide to getting an MRI scan.

Most patients receive a medical report full of clinical terminology they cannot interpret. Then they wait weeks for another appointment just to find out what it means. We think that is broken.
Every Mira scan comes with a standard medical report for your GP, and a miraclarity report that translates your findings into plain English with visual guides.
Included free with every scan. No add-on. No extra cost.
FINDINGS: No evidence of acute osseous abnormality. Mild degenerative disc desiccation at L4-L5 with minor posterior disc bulge without significant canal stenosis...
Clinical terminology for healthcare professionals
Your scan looks healthy. Nothing new or concerning.
A common age-related change. Rarely needs treatment.
What this means
Your lower back discs have lost some water content. This is normal with age and usually does not cause problems.
Making scans accessible is only half the problem. If you cannot understand your results, access alone is not enough. miraclarity closes that gap.
An MRI scan can help diagnose and monitor a wide range of conditions. Your doctor may recommend an MRI, or you can self-refer if you're experiencing any of these symptoms.
MRI scans are completely radiation-free and considered one of the safest medical imaging methods.
Our team will complete a safety screening with you before your scan to ensure everything is safe.

It depends on your area and scan type. Central (Richmond Ave) is best for most scans. Spring (Walters Rd) offers open MRI for patients who need more space. Dickinson runs a 3T scanner, is ideal for Clear Lake residents, and offers breast MRI on Thursdays.
A typical MRI scan takes 30 to 90 minutes depending on the body part and whether contrast is needed. Plan to be at the center for about 15 minutes longer than the scan itself.
Within 48 hours of your scan. You receive two reports: a medical report for your doctor and a Mira Clarity report that explains your results in plain English.
Yes. Our Spring location on Walters Road has an open MRI scanner, which is a good option if you experience claustrophobia or need additional space. Weight limit is 350 lbs.
